Set in the pine forest of Muda in the Comporta region of Portugal's Alentejo coast, an hour south of Lisbon and twenty minutes from the Atlantic beaches of Praia do Pego and Praia Carvalhal, 3 Bicas House sits within over 50 acres of woodland and surrounded by the rice fields and natural springs that give the property its name.

Designed by leading Portuguese architect Pedro Ferreira Pinto in a palette limited to concrete and glass, the villa rises in clean lines from the wild landscape with sliding wood panels across the facade that close for privacy or open to the views, a double-vaulted living room lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, a concrete kitchen, four bedrooms connected through a ground-floor breezeway, and a separate studio set among wraparound terraces by the pool.
