Architect
Studio MacBride is an Athens-based architecture practice working primarily in Greece, with a particular focus on residential and hospitality projects across the Cyclades. The studio's work draws on traditional Cycladic vernacular architecture, including whitewashed forms, stone walls, and sheltered courtyards, while introducing contemporary spatial sensibilities. En Kyanó, a six-bedroom retreat on Mykonos designed for Thomas Heyne (the founder of Scorpios and Noema), is one of the studio's recent residential projects. Studio MacBride's portfolio reflects a particular interest in the relationship between island vernacular and contemporary living, with projects that respect the architectural traditions of their setting while serving contemporary use.
