Architect
Studio Pikaplus is a Slovenian architecture practice based in Ajdovsčina, in the Vipava Valley of western Slovenia. The studio is led by architects Jana Hladnik Tratnik and Tina Lipovž, working across residential and small-scale projects with a restrained contemporary approach grounded in material honesty and contextual sensitivity. Their work is characterised by considered use of microcement, concrete, and laminated wood, often with green roofs and deep cantilevered overhangs that integrate buildings into landscape. The studio's Konjiček house in Lokavec received the BIG SEE Tourism Design Award in 2023, recognising the project's relationship to the surrounding Vipava Valley landscape and its restrained material palette.
