The Morna Valley runs inland through the north of Ibiza, between Sant Carles de Peralta and Sant Joan. It is the green half of the island: terraced orchards, dry-stone walls, carob and almond, and roads that take longer than the map suggests. Sant Carles is a few minutes away for the Saturday market at Las Dalias, and the north-east beaches, Cala Boix, Cala Mastella and Aigües Blanques, are all a short drive.
Selina and Jurjen moved here from Amsterdam in 2015 with three young kids and have been converting the farm buildings ever since. Jurjen founded the studio Ibiza Interiors the year before, and it has done the work on all of them. There are four places to stay across two hectares: the Loft, made from a workshop that had no windows at all, sleeping four; the Casita, an old stable and workshop converted in 2016, sleeping four; the Atelier, a 200-year-old stable between the carob and orange trees, sleeping two; and the Casa, sleeping six. Dry stone, plenty of glass, and orchards in every direction.
