Meraki Studios

Set on a 6,500 square metre plot of olive, fig and oak trees outside the village of Kissos in southern Crete, Meraki Studios is a six-unit retreat with a 12 metre infinity pool built into an old stone wall.

Danish architect Sigurd Larsen shaped the building as an exposed concrete grid that reads like an abstract rock formation, designed to weather with lichen over time, with each of the six units opening as a cave toward the valley below.
