Kardiani · Cyclades
Set on a steep hillside above the village of Kardiani, considered one of the most beautiful villages on the Cycladic island of Tinos, the Tinos Hearts villas look out over the Aegean Sea from their terraces with the picturesque whitewashed houses of the village descending below them toward the coast.
Designed in 2018 by Athens-based zege architects as a modern interpretation of traditional Cycladic forms, the two sister villas, House G and House Y, are each composed of several discrete volumes connected by terraces, with whitewashed plaster walls, cubic forms, flat roofs, dry-stone retaining walls, and wooden pergolas and shutters that quote the local architecture, each villa offering three bedrooms, a private pool, and a minimalist interior anchored by built-in masonry beds.
