Son Felip

A restored Menorcan farmhouse on a working organic farm near Ciutadella, with a pool among the olive trees, horses in the paddocks and trails down to two quiet coves.

Son Felip is a traditional Menorcan farmhouse on a large organic farm in the north of the island, near Ciutadella. The farm grows its own food, keeps Menorcan horses and runs down to the sea at Cala Pilar.

Living Spaces

The house is set over two floors, with a kitchen, a living room and a dining room on the ground floor opening out to the garden. Upstairs, a quiet reading room has its own fireplace, a good spot for wet afternoons or an early night with a book.

The rooms are simple and comfortable, with stone walls, wooden beams and views across the fields.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

There are five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Two are in the main house. The other three are in small annexes around it, each with a private entrance, which works well for families or friends who like their own space.

The Lodge, a separate apartment a short walk from the house, has two more bedrooms with bathrooms, its own kitchen and a fireplace.

The Environment

The pool sits among olive and fruit trees, with plenty of room around it for loungers and long lunches. Next to the house there’s an organic vegetable garden, and you can visit the rest of the farm, the stables and the Menorcan horses.

Private trails lead across the farm to two coves on the north coast, Cala Pilar and Pla de Mar. Horse riding, a beekeeping workshop, stargazing, hiking and sea kayaking can all be arranged.

The Location

Son Felip is in the countryside north of Ciutadella, on the road to Cala Pilar, one of the wildest stretches of Menorca’s north coast. The farm’s own trails reach the sea, and Ciutadella’s old town and harbour are about 20 minutes away by car. Menorca airport is around 45 minutes.
