Spronken House

Sleeps 6

A sculptural villa in the Castellón hills near Valencia

Reached by a private road through almond and olive groves in the Castellón hills of eastern Spain, Spronken House is a pair of villas set on 7 hectares of land half an hour from the Mediterranean sea.

The late Dutch artist Xander Spronken approached the build as he did his iron sculptures, framing volume with 54 concrete pillars and a roof of old mooring posts in details drawn from the Fibonacci sequence, with each of the two villas designed to be energy neutral.
