Deià · Mallorca
Set in the hills above the Valldemossa-Deià coast road in the UNESCO World Heritage Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca, reached by a paved camino that winds through an ancient olive grove, Finca Son Ru sits within fifteen minutes of the picturesque village of Deià, the rocky cove of Cala Deià, and the broader artistic community that has long made this stretch of the Mallorcan coast a quiet centre of slow living.
A former 13th-century monastery preserved and family-owned, Finca Son Ru is a six-bedroom finca arranged across two reception halls (one of which is the former olive press, or tafona) with an inglenook fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and ground-floor bedrooms opening onto a terrace with sea views, an infinity pool, and an arched pergola with a barbecue area for outdoor meals, with the sound of sheep bells from the terraced hillside as the consistent background.
